C. Thomas Sturtz

Sturtz, C. Thomas, 77, Johnstown, passed away March 9, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Born December 19, 1939 in Johnstown, son of the late Claude and Margaret “Peg” (Bungard) Sturtz. Survived by fiancé Darla Biauce; children, Donna Jean Wagner, Thomas E. Sturtz married to Melissa Lohr; grandchildren, Claudia Leigh Wagner and David E. Sturtz married to Charlie (Petty); sister, Christine Henneke married to Rodger; nieces, Lisa Henneke married to Christopher Kieper, Erin Henneke married to Robert Yingling, Jill Henneke married to Matt Brenner. Member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Portage. Served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of Cambria Lodge #278 F&AM for 51 years, also Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, and a member of the Jaffa Shrine A.A.O.N.M.S. He was employed within the steel industry for 50 years. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 38 years of service. A memorial service will be held April 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church, Portage, Pastor Arthur Black. Interment Richland Cemetery.
