Ken, you came into my life as my big sister Becky's suitor and I was quickly given the role as full time chaperone by Baba and Pap. Thus, it was my duty to keep a watchful eye on the sweethearts which mandated making my presence known at periodic surprise intervals as you snuggled on the couch. That's not annoying, right? After a while, even though I had to share Becky, I grew to love Ken. Ken took me camping for the first time and I cannot help but think of him whenever I fall asleep in a tent with a fire dying down . Ah! The aroma of the fire, fresh air, and canvas tent was and is still intoxicating to me. Besides, camping, I have memories of attending the Glosser Brother's Christmas parade, and also attending my very first jam session where I had an opportunity to sing for the very first time with a band. I loved and admired the fullness of Ken in his love of life, and consequently, many interests that he pursued and mastered. I will miss you Ken, looks like you are with your beloved Becky. God bless your children and grandchildren and all whom have crossed your path.

Ken....so sorry to hear about your Dad. I met your Dad in the early 60's and we both played in Rock & Roll bands. We had a lot of fun and ventures during that timeframe.
We were young and loved the excitement of performing for teenagers at "record hops" and dance gigs.
He was a great musician with an outstanding personality.

Dear Deater Family,
I am deeply saddened by Kenny's passing. He was so much more than a friend to me. He was my brother, my mentor and a solid source of council in difficult times. Ken taught me so many things about life, family, and living in general. My boys all refer to him as "uncle Kenny" so our closeness was evident to my entire family. I wish I could be there to pay my final respects but I am in New Jersey and it is 4:00 pm Friday. I just got the news from a mutual friend.
Ken will allways be a part of me, he was my best friend and a great musical partner. Heaven's band just got a great drummer and entertainer. I will miss his wit, humor and kind words of encouragement. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

The world has lost a good man and a great friend. I met Ken many years ago when he made his first trip with our group we now call "The Raystown Adventure". It's just a group of guys that meet once a year, four 4 or 5 days to get away from the hustle and daily grind of life. I cannot believe how much this man grew on us all, only seeing him once a year. I'm gonna miss ya buddy but I will never forget all the good times. Be at peace, my friend.
