Edward Donald Dallape

DALLAPE- Edward Donald, 79, formerly of Ferndale.  Passed away on January 18, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born July 3, 1937 in Johnstown.  Son of Louis and Emma Marie (Zecker) Dallape.  Preceded in death by parents, sister Emma Gottshall, brothers Louis, William, Joseph and Raymond Sr.  Survived by wife of 53 years, Joanne (DeMarco); children Edward Brian of Greensboro, NC, and Dr. Lisa Dallape Matson married to Dr. Robert Matson of Westmont; grandchildren Edward Joshua, Julianne Nicole and Isabelle Faith Dallape; and brothers Fred of Fairfield Glade, TN and Rev. John married to Nancy (Brosius) of Westover.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.   Member of St. Andrew’s Church and life member of Ferndale Vol. Fire Dept. He was active in many community services, including Ferndale Area School Board and Council.  Also, elected Mayor of Ferndale Borough for three terms.  Former merchandise manager and buyer for Penn Traffic and W.T. Grant and Co, former employee of Crown American Corp and retired as Executive Vice President for Operations from Zamias Corp.  Following his retirement, Edward was an avid golfer and was the Pro Shop Manager of North Fork Country Club.  Also a 3rd Degree Knight and Army veteran. Friends will be received from 2 – 8 Friday at Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, 2503 Bedford St.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 Saturday at St. Andrew’s Church.  Father Angelo Patti, officiating.  Entombment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Windber.  www.hendersonfuneralhome.com
