Donald J. Rutledge

RUTLEDGE- Donald J., 76, Johnstown. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 16, 2018 after a long battle with lung disease. Born December 1, 1941 in Johnstown. Son of Thomas and Florence (Simmons) Rutledge. Preceded in death by parents, sons Mike and Richard, brother Tom, granddaughter Jamie and twin grandsons. Survived by wife of 57 years Donna (Rodkey); children Tammy wife of John Meyers, Chris husband of Emily, John husband of Rhiannon, Paul husband of Kimberly, Jimmy husband of Erin, Beth wife of Greg Podrasky and Holly and her companion Mike Vizi all of Johnstown; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Doris Broom; nieces Diane Merberger and Vicky Bladen; and nephew Gary Broom Jr. He worked for Gatlings Auto Store for over 25 years. Member of Moxham P.N.A., life member Lorain and Oakland Fire Co. Also, he was an avid fisherman. He loved to joke, even up to the end. He enjoyed watching the Steelers, but most all he loved spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 4:00 until time of funeral service at 7:00 Friday at John Henderson Co.
