William H. Younker, 82, Johnstown, died July 13, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1935, in Johnstown, son of the late Austin L. and Bertha (Berkey) Younker. He was the last member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by his daughter, Karen; brother, Robert; sisters, Sadie, Darl, and Bertha; and son-in-law, Rodger Serene. He is survived by his wife, LaVerne (Teeter) Younker; daughters, Mary Lou George, Sharon Younker-Serene, and his chosen daughter, Sally Price; and grandchildren, Chris George, and wife, Kess Ballentine; and Rebecca George. He was a member of Moxham Church of the Brethren. He was a former Fire Chief and Police Chief for Lorain Borough, and a long time truck driver. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Sunday at Henderson Funeral Home East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. where funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Monday, the Rev. Daniel Rhodes, officiating. Interment will be in Pike Grace Brethren Cemetery.
