William G. Wilson, Jr.

William G. Wilson, 91, Richland, passed away January 16, 2023 at Richland Woods. Born October 7, 1931 in Layland, WV, son of William G. and Anna L. (Warshel) Wilson. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Preceded in death by his parents; great-great niece, Amy Wilson; brother, Robert J. Wilson; sister-in-law, A. Catherine Wilson; and sister, Carole A. Zucco. Survived by six nephews and nieces, Robert A. Wilson (Marie); Thomas L. Wilson (Jan); Terri L. Lentz (Robert); Jodi L. Zucco; Jami D. Janidlo (Brad); and David Zucco (Kathleen); and eleven great-great nieces and nephews. William was a 1949 graduate of Windber High School, and a 1953 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. Accounting Department. Mr. Wilson was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 60 years, serving on church council and singing in the choir for over 20 years. He was a member of the UPJ and University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association and the 1787 Society of the University Pittsburgh. He enjoyed all things related to Pittsburgh, especially Pitt Panthers Football, and beach vacations including Bar Harbor, ME, Avalon/Stone Harbor, NJ, Florida and Outer Banks, NC. Friends received Thursday from 10AM until the hour of service at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 613 Locust St., with the Rev. Michael Van Dyke officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills.
