William Stevens Obituary

William Paul Stevens, 73, Johnstown, died October 18, 2021 at Arbutus Park Manor of complications from COVID. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Born August 4, 1948 in Johnstown. Son of Charles D. and Anna (Bowers) Stevens. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Charles and Robert Stevens; sisters Shirley Legeza and Clara Bisch; nieces Diane Bisch and Lisa Lester; sister-in-law Georgann Kushner. Survived by loving wife of 51 years Valli (Fedornock) Stevens; son; daughter Tiffany Stevens; grand daughter Ryian Georgann Ross; sister-in-law Salli Weible. He attended the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He was a member of American Legion, VFW, F&A.M Lodge 278. A U.S. Army Veteran, Vietnam Era. He enjoyed tinkering with his car, maintaining his yard as well as the upkeep on his home. He loved to gamble and vacation at Myrtle Beach. He was thrilled to have a grand daughter and nick named her Peanutsky. He had worked at Weigle and Barber then retired from Conemaugh Engraving. He also worked part time at the War Memorial Box office for over 35 years. He had a special love for his animals, especially Rocky. The family suggest donations to the Humane Society or Disabled Veterans group. The family would also like to thank the nurses and hospice nurses for the wonderful care they provided to Bill. A memorial service will be held at a later date. John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. is serving the family.
