William W. Haslett

Haslett III, Father William passed away on July 20, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after an aggressive fight against Interstitial Lung Disease.  He was born on October 1, 1968 and was 51 years of age.  Bill was a classically trained pianist, avid hunter, enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time at his farm.  He graduated from Greater Johnstown High School in 1986, the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 1990 and Trinity School for Ministry in 1993.  He was an ordained Episcopal Priest and serve in parishes at Wilmington Delaware, Blairsville PA and Somerset PA.  He retired in 1999 due to Crohn’s Disease.  He was a loving husband and father.   Preceded in death by his grandparents, William Sr. and Florence (Campbell) Haslett, Joseph and Veronica (Lugar) Cyburt, Aunts, Jean Haslett and Maureen (Cyburt) Logvin.  Survived by his wife, Tammy (Kawchak) Haslett and sons, William Haslett IV and Benjamin Haslett, (Parents) William Jr. and Louise (Cyburt) Haslett, Brother, Matthew Haslett and (Spouse) Chad and daughter, Willow, and (Uncle) Dennis Cyburt.  It was Bill’s request to not have a viewing and to be privately buried.  Donations may be made to the National Wildlife Foundation or the Somerset Humane Society.
