William B. Marano, "Polish Bill", 87, West Warwick, RI formerly of Johnstown, died November 28, 2025 in Providence, RI. Born October 12, 1938 in Johnstown, son of Andrew and Gladys (Papuga) Janiec. Preceded in death by parents; adoptive father, Edward Marano; wife, Deborah "Deb" (Lybarger); son, Bernie; and sister, Elaine Marano. Survived by sons, Adam (Stacy); and Darin (Regina); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and siblings, Walter (Cindy) Fred Hicks (Patricia); Carmella Ansell (Chuck); Mary Ramirez (Al); and Shirley McClain. Bill was a member of the Polish Heritage Council. Along with Deb, he hosted and entertained many listeners on Saturday Morning Polkamotion, and the Sunday Pennsylvania Polka Show. He was instrumental in the development of the Johnstown Polka Fest. He was a retired produce manager from Acme Markets and Giant Eagle. At Polish Bill's request, there will be no public viewing. He would rather be remembered by everyone with a smile on his face and promoting polka music. A graveside service will be held 11AM Saturday at Richland Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills.
