Wilfried E. Sender

Wilfried E. Sender, 93, Johnstown, died April 24, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born December 24, 1927 in Hohenstein East Prussia, Germany, son of Gustav and Auguste (Gabel) Sender. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Hildegard; and brother, Ernst. Survived by wife of 53 years, Donna (Craig); daughters, Gretchen (Marc Bartolomucci); and Lori; sister, Elsie Graff; grandchildren, Alexa, Bethany, Lily, Sarah, Charlotte, Hailey, Morgan, and Marc. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. After coming to the United States, he established Sender Ornamental Iron Works, which he owned and operated the business until his death. Friends received 4-7PM Tuesday, and 10 until the hour of service at 11AM Wednesday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., with the Rev. Michael Van Dyke officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
