Obituary

Vickie L. Schmidt, 75, Johnstown, died July 18, 2023 at Somerset Senior Living. Born November 18, 1947 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Herbert and Mercedes (Knuff) Davis. Survived by husband, Paul; children, Amy; and Matthew (Brittany Baume); grandsons, Jackson and Zachary Schmidt; twin sister, Mickie (Barry Mills); 3 nieces and 1 nephew. She was a member of Visitation BVM Catholic Church. She graduated from Ferndale-Dale High School, Class of 1965. Vickie worked as a bank teller at various banks. She retired as a teacher's aide, her favorite job, from Ferndale School District with 17 years of service. The Schmidt family extends a heart-felt thank you to the staffs at Somerset Senior Living and ViaQuest Hospice for the care given to Vickie. Friends received 4-7PM Friday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Funeral mass will be held 10AM Saturday at Visitation BVM Church with Father John Slovikovski as celebrant. Committal, Grandview Cemetery.
