HYLAND- Thomas D., 84, Johnstown. Passed away August 22, 2025 at James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center. Born December 28, 1940 in Johnstown. Son of John J. and Lavina (Hecker). Preceded in death by parents brother John Jr., infant brother Richard, and sister Kathleen Cammerata. Survived by wife of 60 years, Donna Lynn (Smith); children, Thomas Hyland (Rita) and Maureen Mahurin (Jeff); grandchildren, Thomas Jr. (fiancé Grace Deep), Rebecca, Samantha and Alexander; siblings, James Hyland (Tamara); sister, Marilyn Saylor (Terry); and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Vietnam Veterans of America. Vietnam Army Veteran. Retired from Bethlehem Steel B.R.&W Division. At Thomas's request, services will be held privately. Entombment at Grandview Mausoleum. Donations may be made to the Fisher House in Rockville, MD (fisher house.org) John Henderson Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
