Sylvia D. (Salem) Olszewski

Sylvia D. Olszewski, 79, Johnstown, died July 1, 2021 at Laurelwood Care Center. Born April 1, 1942 in Johnstown. Daughter of Bernard and Margaret Ruth (Custer) Salem.  Preceded in death by parents and husband Robert Louis Olszewski. Survived by loving children Margaret Mary(Frank SanFilippo) and Robert Jr.; granddaughter Sylvia Grace SanFilippo; sister Marilynn(Peter Diehl); aunt Betty Buchan; nieces Erica(Bill McCullough), Pamela Hawks, Melodee Kabobich, Roxanne Mosch; nephew Gary Holt(Tina). She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church. She loved Neil Diamond and was a member of his fan club. She has been a member of OE anonymous for over 50 years. Sylvia had been a nursing instructor at Johnstown Vo-tech in the LPN program and was a member of Retire Nurses Association. Friends will be received Wednesday July 7 from noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
