Stanley E. Waltos

WALTOS- Stanley E. "Stas", 77, Johnstown. Passed away August 17, 2025, at home. Born January 1, 1948, in Windber. Son of Frank and Julia (Ludwig) Waltos. Preceded in death by parents, sister Mary Walker, and brothers Frank, John, and Thomas. Survived by wife of 22 years, Judy (Maloy); children, Steven (Tracy) of Cleveland, OH and Cindy Maloy of Windber; granddaughter, Lexi Waltos; siblings, Joseph (Ethel) of MD, Barbara Hesketh of FL, Raymond (Jackie) of Windber, Judy Badowski (Bob) of Windber, and Tony (Dianne) of Greensburg; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a 50-year member of Windber Moose Lodge #349, Polish Educational Society (7th Street, Windber), Harmonie Singing Society and B.P.O. Elks Lodge #176. Also, he was a handyman to many who knew him. At Stas' request, there will be no viewing, however a celebration of life will be held on September 6, 2025 at Anthony's Restaurant from 1:00 until 4:00. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Windber Hospice- Jake, Brandy, Heather, and Elaine for the care given to Stanley. Also, a special thank you to our neighbors, the Gross family.
