Shirley Ann (Twyman) Jackson, 84, passed away peacefully September 1, 2020. Shirley was born February 19, 1936 in Johnstown to the late Gaston and Lottie (Laing) Twyman, who preceded her in death along with her siblings, Marie Tucker, James Twyman, Bertha Allen, Charlotte Thomas, Lillian Twyman, Faith Twyman, Ola Twyman, Ernest Mitchell; and step-mother, Annabelle Twyman. Shirley was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Shirley leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Ruth Ann Boykin, Pittsburgh; sons, Freddie (Lisa) Boykin, Jr., Houston, TX; and Robert Harris, and friend Maccine Johnson, Pittsburgh; sisters, Venette (Seth) Gibson, and Ida Andrews; sisters-in-law Ruth (Cleve) Holifield, Doris Halserig; Mattie (Spencer) Charles, Betty Boykin, Delores Boykin; devoted niece, Janice Thomas; god daughter, Crystal Jordan; former husband, Richard Harris; special friends, Dr. Adell Towers and Barbara Munnerlyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a former employee of Pennsylvania Electric Company, and also served as a meter maid for the city of Johnstown. Shirley was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Friends received from 10 until the hour of service at 11AM Saturday, September 5th at Shiloh Baptist Church, 639 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown, with Rev. Theodore Tisinger officiating. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, masks/face coverings and social distancing are required for those attending. Private interment, Richland Cemetery. John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., is serving the family.
