Shirley Colbert, 93, Johnstown, died August 12, 2023. Born July 5, 1930 in Johnstown, daughter of Bernard and Leah (Gilbert) Carthew. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Charles, Jr.; son, Charles, III; infant daughter, Ruth; and sister, Barbara Casavant. She was a retired English teacher. Funeral service will be private. Arrangements are by John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave.
