BERARDI- Shirley L., 88, Johnstown. Passed away January 10, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 10, 1931 in Johnstown. Daughter of Rev. Melvin and Phanetta (Marsh) Thomas. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 49 years, John, son Victor, daughter Brenda Berardi, and brother Donald. Survived by children Edward married to Elaine (Westover) of Ogletown, and Robin married to SSGT Bennie (Hallman) of NC; sisters Verrona Mellott of Johnstown and Diane Calderone of NJ; beloved daughter-in-law Denise Berardi of Johnstown; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was a 1950 Johnstown High School graduate. Taught children's Sunday School at her father's church in South Fork. Shirley played piano at Mt. Carmel Church, Ogletown for 10 years and a member of Roxbury St. Paul United Methodist Church. At Shirley's request, there will not be a viewing or service.
