Sharon M. Mayer

Sharon M. Mayer ,70, of Allentown, passed away on Sunday August 12, 2018. Sharon was the wife of the late Dennis D. Mayer. Born in Johnstown, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Warren C. and Bertha M. (Hornick) Lopaz Sr. Sharon was an Administrator for the Alleghney Lutheran Home. Additionally she worked as a cook for Johnny Rest & Pub. Sharon was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Bethlehem, and was previously a member of Visitation of the Blessed Mother in Johnstown. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Senior Angels, and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Surviving are her sons: Daniel Mayer, and Jeffrey Hall both of Allentown. Brothers: Warren Jr. of Tryone, Pa. and Richard E. (wife Darlene Guye) of Johnstown. Her sister Joyce Signarovitz of Bethlehem. There are numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon had special friends Mr. & Mrs. James Serfoss of Allentown who took care of her sons. She was preceded in death by her Goddaughter Mary Lou Lopaz of Johnstown. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 10:30 at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lehigh County Special Olympics, or the Lehigh Northampton Evening Recreation for Downs Syndrome both care of Daniel Mayer, 1503 E. Congress St. Allentown, Pa. 18109.
