Sharon L. (Beisel) Hess

Sharon L. Hess, 76, Elton, passed peacefully on January 6, 2024 at her residence. Born July 3, 1947 in Johnstown, daughter of Charles and Opal (Gramling) Beisel. Preceded in death by parents; son, Charles Weyandt, Jr.; and brother, Randy. She was the last surviving member of her family. Survived by husband, James; children, Colleen (Todd) Neff; Robin Weyandt and partner Kevin Rodgers; Kevin Weyandt; step-sons Andrew (Shannon) Hess; and James (Annette) Hess; grandchildren, Casi (Patrick) Walter; Brianna Neff; Brittany (Alberto) Ortega; Justin Rodgers (Kelsey); McKenzie Weyandt; and Thea Weyandt; and 7 great grandchildren. Sharon was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member Elton Zion Church. She was a retired residential aide from the Ebensburg Center. The Hess family extends a heart-felt thank you to the staff at Windber Hospice for the care given to Sharon. Friends received Friday from 10AM until the time of service at noon at Elton Zion Church with Pastor Daryl Penrod officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elton Zion Church. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills is serving the Hess family.
