Rose (Polosky) Sernell

Rose Sernell, 94, Johnstown, died July 24, 2026 at her residence. Born February 18, 1932 in Johnstown, daughter of Michal and Rose (Stasczyszyn) Polosky. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 73 years, Joseph; and five siblings. Survived by son, Joseph Jeffrey; and grandchildren, Joseph Matthew (Sarah) and Rachel Marie. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She was a proud wife, mother and grandmother, strongly dedicated to her family. She was talented in numerous arts and crafts, and was an accomplished artist, with a particular gift for capturing the beauty of still life, landscapes and portraits. By request, there will be no public viewing. Funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Benedict Church. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, is serving the family.
