Ronald W. Helsel, 73, Oakland, died January 19, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 28, 1947 in Johnstown, son of David and Hazel (Cobaugh) Helsel. Survived by wife, Sharon Montag-Helsel. Ron was a retired US Army veteran. He was a life member of Oakland VFD serving as past chief, and other offices, and on various committees. By request, there was no public viewing. Funeral service was private and at the convenience of the family. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., was in charge of arrangements.
