Robert C. Terek, 91, Portage, formerly of Dale Borough, died August 7, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 28, 1929 in Johnstown. Son of John and Margaret (Mizak) Terek. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Margaret Voytek; brothers, John and Thomas. Survived by wife of 64 years, Pauline (Heidenthal); sons, Robert (Sherri), Francis "Amos"; daughter, Celinee Bourgoine (Steven); nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren ; three great great grandchildren; sisters, Anna Mae Peply, Vivian Elsner and Delores Terek. He enjoyed being with his family and was proud of being a father and grandfather of 5 generations. He was a member of St. John Gaulbert Catholic Church. A US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Ferndale Sportsman club. Known as "Ranger Bob" at the former North Fork Country Club. Avid golfer and fisherman. Loved gardening. His love of golf and gardening came from working as a teenager at Sunnehanna Country Club. Retired from Bethlehem Steel. Graduate of class of 1947, Ferndale High School. A funeral mass will he held Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. John Gaulbert Catholic Church, Fr. James F. Crookston. Interment Grandview Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by Charles Menoher Post 155. Due to the Covid19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required at mass. John Henderson Company Funeral Home is serving the family.
