Robert D. Smith

Robert D. Smith, 90, died May 3, 2023 at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown, PA. Born July 22, 1932, in Johnstown, son of the late Wesley and Ada Grace (Adams) Smith. Preceded in death by his wife, Lois Smith, whom he married June 13, 1959. Survived by children, Jeffrey W. (Dawn Shaffer), Mooresville, NC; Paul (Theresa Klesch), Johnstown; Bobbie (Michael Young), Palm Coast, FL; and Tammy (Brian Hale), Johnstown; grandchildren, Tabetha Zupon, Jennifer Fontana, Adam Hale, Jeffrey R. Smith, Cassie Barnard, Jonathan Smith, Stephanie Smith, and Raina Fluharty; and great grandchildren, Scarlett, Ryder, and Willow Hale, Henry Fontana, Noah Zupon, Wade Barnard and Brantley Fluharty. Bob was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a salesman for Letty Lane Candy Company and then J G Packing until he retired. He then worked alongside his wife at the Cambria City Mission. Bob's family would like to thank the staff of Crossroads for their exceptional care over the last seven years. Friends received from 10 until the time of service at 11:30AM Saturday, May 6, 2023 at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., with Pastor Dennis Zimmerman officiating.
