Robert Thomas Palov, "Bobby", 54, Johnstown. Passed away November 10, 2023, at Select Specialty Care. Born June 16, 1969, in Johnstown. Son of Steve and Linda (Hritz) Palov. Preceded in death by Father Steve J., Aunt Sylvia Hritz, Uncle Johnny Birch, Cousin Thomas Faust, Grandparents Thomas and Gertrude Hritz, Sara Jane and Andrew Gonda, Great Grandparents Charles and Cathrine Birch and Molly his loving cocker spaniel. Survived by Mother Linda M. (Hritz), wife Kelly (Otolinsky), daughter Shannon Nicole (his sweety), Mother-in-Law Geraldine Bush, Stepson John Weisheier (Sadie Unger), Grandson Bodhi Tex, Sister Valerie (Joshua Katenbrink, niece Tyler (Andy and Sawyer Irvin) Bloom all of Nokesville, VA, Niece Mackenzie Katenbrink of Charlottesville, VA, Aunt Bonnie Hritz, Aunt Ivy and Uncle Larry Faust (Uncle Mike), cousin Scott (Jennifer and Nolan) Hritz of Oakland FL, Jamie and Heidi Faust, Ocoee, FL, Marcy and Jordan Faust of Johnstown, also numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Pets, Sophie his black Cocker Spaniel & cats, Elsia & Gotye. Bobby loved music, he was known as DJ Bobby B around town and Glendale. He was a drummer for several band groups and played drums in the marching band at Ferndale HS where he was a 1988 graduate. He loved camping at Glendale his "happy place" and watching for deer with his Sophie girl. Bobby was a great cook, he loved trying new recipes. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke and make people laugh. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, especially Hines Ward. Some of Bobby's former employers were Lee Hospital, McIlwain as a school bus driver, Dale borough and Anthony's restaurant. Bob's family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses and staff at Conemaugh Hospital, 9th floor ICU and 3rd floor at Select Specialty Care for all the love and care given to Bobby. A big thank you to Pastor Terry Knipple for his many visits and prayers and all the many churches and loved ones praying for Bobby's recovery. He was a member of Beulah Community Church. A special thanks to Fay and Tanner Gosnell and Bruce, Jimmy, Marlene and Bobby Freenock for all of your help and support during this time. Bobby will be sorely missed and forever loved in our hearts. Friends received Wednesday from 2:00 pm until time of funeral service at 4:00 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Pastor Terry Knipple, officiating.
