Richard G. Yewcic

Richard G. Yewcic, 79, Johnstown, died December 2, 2025. Born April 4, 1946 in Johnstown, son of George and Jennie (Rozum) Yewcic. Proceeded in death by parents; and brother, Dennis. Survived by children, Alexander, Alyssa and fiancé, Spencer Svoboda, and Megghan Sokolowski and her husband, Dean; as well as granddaughter Peyton Rose. Siblings Donna Wisz, Judy Rokosz (Stanley) and his nieces and nephews. He was a member at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Professionally he was executive director with United Cerebral Palsy and after retirement years worked as security for Conemaugh, which he enjoyed greatly. He loved working in his yard, and could always find something to work on or fix around his home. He loved talking and spending time with his friends and neighbors, some who he knew for decades. He will be remembered for his endless jokes, entertaining stories and conversations, faith, willingness to help those in need, and most of all the love for his family. By request there will be no public viewing. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home.
