Raymond G. Peterson

Raymond G. Peterson, 84, Westmont, died July 5, 2019 . Born November 11, 1934, in Johnstown, son of George and Martha (Palliser) Peterson. Preceded in death by parents; brother, John; and sister, Sara Mae. Survived by wife, Cecelia (Freidhoff); daughters, Kimberly, Allison Park; and Karen Kittka (Mandy), Conneaut Lake; grandchildren, Olivia and Ava Grubschmidt; Benjamin Kittka (Rachel); and Kayla (Neil Heagy); great grandsons, Hudson Ray and Lincoln Lawrence Heagy; and sister, Elizabeth (Elwood Barnhart); and sister-in-law, Geraldine Peterson. He was a life time member of Westmont United Methodist Church, and a former councilman for Westmont Borough. Ray was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and enjoyed spending time with family in Potter County. He retired  from the Tribune-Democrat, and was a US Army veteran. The family extends a heart-felt thank you to his care givers, Heidi, Gail, and Janet, and the staff at Interim Hospice for the care given to Ray. Friends received 3-7PM Tuesday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11AM at Westmont UM Church with Pastor John Mize officiating. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westmont UM Church Building Fund.
