R. Elwood "Woody" Barnhart, 98, Johnstown, died December 28, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. Born October 7, 1922 in Johnstown. Son of Ralph and Lidia (Livingston) Barnhart. Preceded in death by parents; son Wesley Barnhart; brother Dean W.. Survived by loving wife of 63 years Elizabeth Louise (Peterson); children Keith married to Marjorie (Dressman), Beth and fiance Creigton Potter , Craig and fiance Shari Harrison; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister Miriam Kring. He was a member of Westmont United Methodist Church and Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. Woody enjoyed traveling and hiking. He was a self proclaimed Civil War expert and had visited many battlefields throughout the country. Lifetime country music fan. Formerly employed at Bethlehem Steel. Due to the Covid19 restrictions all services will be private. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
