Peter B. Maurer

Peter B. Maurer, 83, Johnstown, died May 2, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center. Born August 19, 1939 in Johnstown, son of Joseph and Mary (Pavlich) Maurer. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Mary Kay (Burger); brothers, Joseph, Martin, and Ronald; and sisters, Agnes, Katherine Alt, and Helen Pizzino. Survived by children, Mark; Lori, both of Johnstown; Geri (Lawrence Nath), Indiana; Pamela (John Morgan), Portage; and Jeffrey (Valerie Deeds), Michigan; grandchildren, Jason, Vaun, Shane, Gary, Lillian, Joshua, and Justin; great grandchildren, Kayden, Brielle, and Shane; and sister, Patricia Shortt. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Retired construction manager from Eads Group, and a long time employee of Glosser Brothers. He served in the Army National Guard. Friends received 4-6PM Thursday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. Funeral mass will be held 10AM Friday at St. Patrick Church with Father Matthew Baum as celebrant. Committal, St. Joseph Cemetery, with military rite conducted by Chas. Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.
