Peter Anthony Janiga

Peter Anthony Janiga, 61, Johnstown, passed away September 5, 2023 at Memorial Medical Center. Born October 13, 1961. Son of Dorothy (Yuntz) Janiga. Preceded in death by his mother and brother Thomas. Survived by loving wife of 27 years Jane (Mikula) Janiga; siblings Marilyn Janiga, Dorothy Dawson, Frederick Janiga, Barbara (Anthony Girlomi), Stephanie (Stephen Miles); numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was a member of Visitation of the BVM church. An avid Steelers fan. He graduated from Conemaugh Valley HS and was a member of the PNA. He had worked at Conemaugh Hospital and Senior Life. He owned and operated Handy Masters. The family would like to thank Dr. Higby and her staff, and palliative care staff for the care they provided to Pete. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. A funeral mass will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of Pete Janiga. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
