Patricia L. (Birkhimer) Stofko

Patricia L. Stofko, “Patsy”, 89, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2021. Born May 9, 1932, in Johnstown, daughter of John and Mary (Berkebile) Birkhimer. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband of 58 years, Bernard; daughter, Denise Byers; and grandson, Brad Stofko. Survived by children, Michele (Earl Waddell); and Vincent (Kristie Kerr); son-in-law, William Byers; and 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, and former member of Southmont VFD Ladies Auxiliary.  Pat enjoyed a wonderful life. She spent her career in food service at Westmont Hilltop School District and Messiah College. She liked playing cards with her friends and neighbors. She was the best pie maker anybody would want.  The Stofko family extends a heart-felt thank you to caregivers, Hannah Salamon, and Asera Care (Emily Gallagher, Courtney Sumner, Rodney Hatfield and Tammy Miller). Friends received 3-7PM Friday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., where Vigil for the Deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10AM at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father David Peles as celebrant. Committal, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Benedict Catholic Church.
