Nelson Simpson Obituary

Nelson Simpson, age 82, a long-time resident of Johnstown, PA, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA. Nelson was born on December 17, 1937 in Monessen, PA to the late Louis and Marion (Smith) Simpson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Gloria (Simpson) Donald and son Nelson Simpson Jr. He is survived by his son Bernard Simpson and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Nelson was employed at the Tribute Democrat in Johnstown, PA for a number of years. Nelson was a hardworking man, that loved his family who affectionately called him “Unckie”. Nelson enjoyed tinkering with cars and doing projects around the house. John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
