Michael Daniel Gelesh

GELESH- Michael Daniel, 71, of St. Augustine, FL formerly of  East Taylor Twp. Passed away on December 26, 2019 at Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine, FL. Born June 23, 1948 in Johnstown. Son of the late Michael and Helen (Sisitka) Gelesh. Survived by brothers and sisters, loving  caregiver Elaine married to Russell Utzler of East Taylor, Paul married to Debra (Thompson) of NJ, Dennis married to Linda (Weakland) NJ, and Carol married to Van Johns of FL; 13 nieces and nephews, 31 great nieces and nephews. He had a very special fondness for the babies Aiden, Alayna, and Elliot. Godfather to Wendy Johnstone and Heather McAllister. Life member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Church. Michael loved hockey and scratch off tickets. He enjoyed sitting on the porch during his stay at his sister Carol’s house in Florida. He looked forward to going on his many “sea cruises,” the most recent was in November with 22 family members. Michael really looked forward to this years Christmas. Special thanks to Dr. JeanneMarie Koh, Jennifer, a nurse at Park Hill Medical Center and Lisa, RN at Conemaugh Home Health. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday at Henderson Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First St. where Parastas will be sung at 6:30. Devine Liturgy will be held at 10:00 Saturday at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church. Rev. Dr. Robert Oravetz, officiating. Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
