Melissa Richardson Obituary

Melissa A. Richardson, 71, Bedford, died April 14, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born February 17, 1953 in Johnstown, daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Evanick) Machtley. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Karen Wiest; and brother, The Rev. Dr. Ken Diable. Survived by husband, Gerald "Rich" Richardson; siblings, Susan (Tom Carl), Herndon; and Ronald (Kati), Rhode Island; and numerous adored nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Melissa was a graduate of Richland High School, Class of 1971, and Clarion University, Class of 1975. She was a retired speech pathologist from Northern Bedford County School District. By request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held 11AM, Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St.
