Maureen (Hyland) Mahurin

Maureen A. (Hyland) Mahurin, 55, of Cramer, PA, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at UPMC Magee, Pittsburgh, PA. Daughter of Donna L (Smith) and the late Thomas D Hyland. Born December 20, 1969, Johnstown, PA. Maureen is survived by her devoted husband, Jeffrey L. Mahurin, and her bonus children, Justin and Jacob. She leaves behind her loving brother, Thomas J. Hyland, his wife, Rita (Muir) Hyland. Maureen will be deeply missed by her cherished nephews and nieces: Thomas Jr. (fiancé Grace Deep), Rebecca, Samantha, Alexander, Kyrstin (Albracht), Andrew, Courtney, Jodee, Brandon, Heather, Brent, Heather (Snyder) and numerous other extended family members. Maureen was a graduate of United High School, where she showcased her musical talents playing saxophone and as a member of the WJAC Heartland band. She continued her education at Lock Haven University, earning her BFA degree. Maureen began her professional career at AccuWeather, where she managed the national and international newspaper graphic design teams. She later became marketing manager for International Distribution Network (IDN Armstrong's-Southeast Division), a position she held until her passing. Her joy was paper crafting, helping others learn to show their love and happiness with friends and family through personalized cards she called HappyMail (her YouTube channel CampHappyMail). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00pm at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave.
