Mary R. (Palm) Plummer

Mary Plummer, 96, Johnstown, died March 11, 2024 at The Bridges of Bent Creek, Mechanicsburg. Born February 6, 1928 in Johnstown, daughter of Charles and Olga (Hautz) Palm. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Daniel; brothers, Anthony and Ronald; sister, Olga Custer; and step father, Daniel Corrigan. Survived by children, Mary Rita (Robert Turka); Daniel (Diane Miller); Rebecca Kurtz; and Patrick (Carolyn Shields); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and siblings, Charles and Sybilla. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, where she taught CCD. She volunteered for the Red Cross, Somerset State Hospital, Women's Help Center, and the nursery at the YMCA. Friends received 2-6PM Monday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. Funeral mass will be held 10AM Tuesday at St. Benedict Church with Father David Peles as celebrant. Committal, St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Grane Hospice or by planting a tree in memory of Mary.
