Mary Jane (Swaney) Ferg

Mary Jane Ferg, 95, Johnstown, died October 27, 2018, at Laurelwood Care Center. She was born October 5, 1923, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Davie E. and Emma (Harris) Swaney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth M. Ferg, Sr.; brothers, Charles, Harry Robert and Francis; and sister, Helen Custer. She is survived by her children, Barbara Voci, Charlotte, NC; David E. Ferg Sr., and wife, Linda, Johnstown; and Kenneth M. Ferg, Jr., and wife, Cherylann, Tampa, FL; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Association of Christian Mothers of St. Anne of the church. She retired from Mercy Hospital. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 pm Tuesday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be at 10 am Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Rev. Bernard Karmanocky, celebrant. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. www.hendersonfuneralhome.com
