Marilyn Jo Shaffer

SHAFFER- Marilyn Jo, 77, Johnstown. Passed away August 4, 2025, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 26, 1948, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Harold and Julia (Selan) Shaffer. Survived by sisters, Shirley Rice (Ronald) of OH and Linda Del Signore (Joey) of Johnstown; nieces, Juliet Slaby (Ryan) and Amanda Del Signore; and great niece, Olivia. Retired after 42 years, from Conemaugh Hospital, as a Registered Nurse. Jo was a member of the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, where she was active in Abundant Life Ministries. She had a lifelong affection for cats and signature love for the color purple. She loved to travel to Myrtle Beach by RV and cruises with her good friends. Known for a warm and generous presence, unwavering faith, joyful spirit, and compassionate heart that will be sadly missed. Friends will be received Thursday from 4-7 at Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. Funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship.
