Margaret (Smith) Ream

Margaret L. "Peg" Ream, 98, Johnstown, died July 20, 2025, at Heritage Ridge Nursing Home. Born July 20, 1927, in Johnstown. Daughter of Virgil and Margaret (Dollard) Smith. Preceded in death by parents, husband William A., brothers, James, Bud, Thomas, Edgar and William, sister Mary Catherine Scott, great grandsons, Ryan Gula and Justin Ream. Survived by loving children, Ellen (widow of John Gula), Daniel (Roberta Davies), Doug (Barbara Walukas), Rebecca (David Kobus), seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Avid card player and member of 31 card club with her lady friends. Avid Pirates fan. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Ridge, where Peg spent the last 3 months, and Windber Hospice for the care they provided. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-7pm at Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, 2503 Bedford Street. A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10am at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David Peles. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Pegs memory. Interment Richland Cemetery.
