Luke Patton Obituary

Luke Robert Patton, 33, Johnstown. After a recent diagnosis that has been harboring in his body for sometime, our first born son, has beautifully passed into the loving arms of God on December 29, 2020. God chose Nicholas C. and Leah D. (Vore) Patton to bring this beautiful boy into this world on January 22, 1987. Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel and he can finally shine in all the ways he was meant to. Luke will be forever missed. We will remember and cherish his kind and caring ways to sustain us. Our God will give us strength, courage and grace to make it through these days. The grief will linger and will get stronger. We choose to remember we were his chosen family and he first belongs to his Father in Heaven. The gift of his last two days on earth were precious. They allowed us to be able to give him back with more ease. We are so sorry for your struggling Luke and pray that you felt our love for you. Go be who you were meant to be as you are now, fully understood. I can see you walking freely without pain, smiling and talking with everyone you have met already. This thought is giving us great comfort. Our handsome boy with a beautiful smile. You are loved and will always be a part of our team of 5. I wish I could have seen your face when you saw Hallows and Libby running through the fields to greet you, still brings a smile to my face. We will love you forever, Mom, Dad, Kyle and Tanner. Luke is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Barry Vore; paternal grandparents Donald and Connie Patton; and his loving feline companion Hallows who passed the day before Luke. In addition to his parents he is survived by brothers Kyle and Tanner; maternal grandmother Jean Vore; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a member of Moxham Lutheran Church. Luke enjoyed playing guitar and music in general. He loved college football and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. During high school Luke was Captain of the football and wrestling teams at Westmont. He worked hard to be inducted to the National Honor Society. The family is saddened that due to the Covid19 restrictions they cannot gather with family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Luke's life. The family suggests donations to the Humane Society or New Day. John Henderson Company Funeral Home is serving the family.
