Loretta (Seganos) Troup

Loretta Troup, 71, Friedens, formerly of Johnstown, died July 19, 2020. Born October 7, 1948 in Johnstown, daughter of Peter, Sr. and Nina (Rapacchia) Seganos. Preceded in death by parents; and husband, Merle. Survived by children, Michele (Mark Malkin); Tricia, Greg, and Stacie; grandchildren, Derek and Marlea Malkin; and siblings, Paula (Otto Kadas), and Peter, Jr. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Loretta was a registered nurse having worked at Windber Medical Center, and retired from James E. VanZandt VA Center. She also volunteered during Hurricane Katrina. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, viewing will be private. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 10AM at St. Benedict Church with Father David Peles as celebrant. For those attending the mass, masks will be required as well as social distancing. Committal, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cambria County Humane Society. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. is serving the Troup family.
