Lois Elva Hartland, 97 passed away on December 10, 2023 at Quality Life Services Westmont. Lois was born March 23, 1926 in Johnstown, daughter of William E Sr. and Elsie (Kaufman) Hunt. Proceeded in death by parents, husband Evan T. Hartland, sisters, Mary Kelly, Hazel McDaniel, brothers, Robert, Owen, William, and Leighton Hunt, grandson Matthew Gnagey and nephew William Gilbert. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by children James, Deborah (Muncert), William, Susan (Godish), Dennis, Virginia (Jones) all of Johnstown, and Joan, (Michael Ailes) of Davidsville. Grandchildren Andrew Bantly, (Margaret Small), Philadelphia, Sarah Bantly, (Robert Johnson), and Dr. Christopher Hartland, (Samantha Miller), Johnstown, Thomas Hartland, (Aime (Morrill), Westminster, MD, Jennifer Hartland, Cara (Creco) Gnagey, Bret Hartland, all of Johnstown, Amy Leap, (Jared), Bedford. Great grandchildren Alyssa, Katelynn, and Eva Hartland, Wyatt Gnagey, Carter, Tanner, and Parker Leap and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was a member of Westmont Church of the Brethren and sang in the choir.
She worked at Alwine's Dairy, Picken Chicken, and was custodian for Westmont Church of the Brethren. The family would like to thank the Staff at Quality Life Services Westmont, Dr. Thomas Ellenberger, Dr. Patrick Gray, and Aseracare Hospice for their care of Lois.
