Linda passed on December 6, 2023 at the Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center in Windber, PA, from heart failure. Born January 21, 1949 in Johnstown, PA, the daughter of Irvin and Susan (Kissel) Lambert. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by husband Michael. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary November 29. Linda is also survived by her son Derrick, his partner Andrea Stormes, and granddaughter Iyla Grace Quinn. Linda is also survived by her brother Dennis Lambert of Greensboro, SC. Her brother Irvin "Butch" Lambert passed July 11, 2020. Also survived by these in-laws: Kevin and wife Betty Ann, Tim, John and wife Patty, Stephen and wife Christina, Thomas and James. Linda was a Program Manager for Goodwill Industries of the Alleghenies for 15 years and dearly loved her job and her colleagues, who affectionately referred to her as the "mother" of the office because they knew they could come to her for healing words of comfort. Linda was also a 20-year hospice volunteer at the Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center Hospice Program in Windber, and her healing presence was experienced by everyone she encountered. She was especially fond of Medical Director Dr. Kelly Warshel, whom Linda referred to as the most compassionate person she ever met. As hospice volunteers, Linda and Michael co-authored two books for the terminally ill and their families; The Journey Home: Inspiring Passages from Near-Death Experiences to Comfort the Dying, and The Journey Home: Soul Release Intercession; Assisting the Actively Dying at the Time of Transition. Linda and Michael are also Prayer Partners associated with the sacred ministry of Dominican Father Nathan Castle to assist souls who died from trauma to make a smooth transition to the afterlife realms. Linda was the Light of Michael's life. She touched his heart at a level only the angels could appreciate…because she was an Angelic Being in disguise. And undoubtedly the angelic realm arranged for her to be welcomed into the Heaven realms by a golden chariot pulled by a thousand white horses where she will continue her beautiful and sacred ministry. Linda also adored her son Derrick Lambert Quinn, his partner Andrea Stormes and especially granddaughter Iyla Grace. Public viewing will be held Saturday, December 9, from noon to 4:00 pm at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Avenue, Johnstown, PA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Linda's healing legacy, please take a moment of quiet time to enter your heart and extend forgiveness to someone who may have harmed you in the past. Remember…we are all just walking each other home.
