Leonard P. Robel, 89, Johnstown, died November 5, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born January 10, 1931 in Johnstown. Son of Max and Pauline (Poehner) Robel. Preceded in death by parents, wife Margaret J. (Gehring) Robel; sisters Kathleen Robel, Betty Ann Dobson, Dorothy Tilley, Vivian Petry; brothers Richard Robel and Theodore Robel; also sons-in-law Robert Forquer and Frank Pejack. Leonard is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by his children Doug Robel, Deborah Forquer and Brenda Pejack; grandchildren Pam, Jen, Kelly and Bobby; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was an Army Veteran. Leonard spent much of his time after retirement helping his son build his home in New Florence. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1986. Friends will be received Sunday from 2:00-5:00 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. and also on Monday from 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, Pastor Michael Van Dyke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
