Leonard C. Naylor, 84, Johnstown, died February 9, 2024 at home. Born July 12, 1939 in Windber, son of Thomas and Regina (Imgrund) Naylor. Preceded in death by parents, 3 brothers, and 6 sisters. Survived by wife, Maria (Manganelli); children, Stephanie (Peter Konieczka); and Jude (Carrie Thomas); 5 granddaughters; and brother John (Joanne); Titi Naylor (Thomas, deceased); as well numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard taught Social Studies and English for 29 years. His love of history led him to take an interest in Native American lore. He generously shared his knowledge of beadwork and displayed his handcrafted items over the years. Leonard loved being part of the Boy Scouts and Order of the Arrow. He made many wonderful friends through his years as a scout, many of whom he remained close with to the end. He was an active member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, serving as an usher, a Stephen Minister, and a member of the men's prayer group. Friends received 2-6pm Monday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. Funeral mass will be held 10AM Tuesday at St. Benedict Church with Father David Peles as celebrant. Committal, St. John Cantius Cemetery, Windber.
