Larry W. Thomas

THOMAS- Larry W., 80, Johnstown. Passed away February 3, 2024, at home. Born May 3, 1943, in Johnstown. Son of the late John and Isabelle (Retallack) Thomas. Preceded in death by in-laws, Henry and Edna Hoppert and brother-in-law Clyde Hoppert. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Sharon (Hoppert); children, Alan (Bobbi Lapinsky) and John Jay "JJ" (Marsha Blough); grandchildren, Aidan, Brenna, Easton and Parker all of Richland. Larry was a 1961 graduate of Johnstown High School and worked for Sipe Oil and Bachman Oil. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and Penn State fan. Larry kept busy attending his grandchildrens various games and events. His faith was very important to him and he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-7 pm at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Baum, officiating. Entombment Grandview Cemetery.
