Obituary

LAYTON- Larry L., 85, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord May 5, 2022. Born October 15, 1936 in Johnstown. Son of George and Bertha (Young) Layton. Preceded in death by parents, wife Doris E. (Pattison), sons Gregg A. and Larry L, and sisters Carol Wassel and Bonnie Straw. Survived by children, Stacey (Bill) Locher of Westmont, Lori (Scott) Cable of Davidsville, and David (Amy) Layton of Lititz; daughter-in-law Lisa (Calhoun) of Richland; step daughter, Pamela Gorman of Johnstown; beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. He attended Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. Larry had an extensive train collection that he cherished. He enjoyed spending time golfing and fishing. He retired after 50 years in the automotive industry. Larry lived by the words of "Life's Little Instructions." Services will be held privately.
