Kermit L. Miller, "Kit", 82, Nanty Glo formerly of Richland, died February 1, 2024 at Horizons at Villa Crest. Born July 13, 1941 in Johnstown, son of Kenneth and Roberta (Simmons) Miller. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Doris (Zimmerman); grandson, Christopher Miller; step-daughter, Lorianne Hurtack; and brother-in-law, Kevin Smith. Survived by wife, Rita (Popich) Hurtack-Miller; children, William (Amy Luvaas); Deborah (Jeff Shumaker); and Deanne Miller; step-children, Shannon (Michael Wetzel); and Harry (Breann); grandchildren, Marlo, Nathan, Kathrine, Cassandra, Dylan, Nicole, Kristin, Jason, Allison, Connor, Michaela, Haley, Sophia, Maddie, and Grace; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Sandy (Jack Hartman); sister-in-law, Sandra Zimmerman; brothers-in-law, Stan Popich (JoMarie); and Joseph Popich (Suzie); and sister-in-law, Marianne Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a long-time member of Bethany Church of Richland, where he was active with the men's prayer breakfast. He was a graduate of JHS, Class of 1959. He retired from Ameriserv. The family wishes to thank the caring, wonderful staff at Horizons and Interim Hospice. Friends received Monday from 10AM until the time of service at noon at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St. with pastor Adam Dotts officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Church of Richland.
