Kenneth Shaw Obituary

Kenneth Leroy Shaw, "Eli", 79, died November 16, 2021 unexpectedly in a Pittsburgh Hospital. Born September 5, 1942 in Johnstown, son of the late Kenneth A. and Virginia M. (Younkins) Shaw. Preceded in death by infant sister, Baby Erma Jean, 1941; and brother-in-law, Jack Miller, 2008. Survived by sisters, Reta Miller, Audrey (Thomas "Bucky" Morris); Bonnie Shaw; and Vicki Shaw; nieces, Leslie Rohrer (Scott MacCullough); Andrea Budzina (John Kubas); Amy Slatcoff (Mark Cappiello); Gina Slatcoff (Julian Chevannes); and Kati Alexander (Anthony Woodson); and four great nephews and nieces, Tyler Alyssa, and Aubrey Cappiello, and Brady Kubas. Also survived by good friends, Dick "Pierre" Gaston, Dave Pavelosky, Kathy, "The Blonde Coyote", Dorothy Mash, Joe Mash and "Lovely" Linda. Bucky and Dave were like brothers to Kenny. He was a caring and wonderful brother and uncle. He was a good person, honest and kind to all. He served as a USMC security guard on the USS Randolph (CV-15). Kenny retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. in 1992. He was a lifetime hunter and fisherman. He earned The Triple Trophy Award in 1994, turkey, bear and buck. His church was the mountains, but he knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He loved and respected nature and the outdoors. He was a member of NRA, Sportsmen Club, and VFW. Kenny, don't wait at Heaven's Gate for us, go in and celebrate with Jesus, Mom, Dad, and other family members. At Kenny's request, there will be no viewing or service. At a later date, his ashes will be scattered in the mountains. Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., is serving the Shaw family.
