Kenneth R. Richey, 75, Johnstown, died peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026 and is now in the hands of his Lord. Born October 8, 1950 in Johnstown, son of the late Richard and Irene (Baligush) Richey. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandra "Chub" (Fry); sister, Diane Morley (Bill) and brother, Russ Richey (Teresa). He is also survived by nieces, Lisa Fiffick (Brian), Cindi Cox (Tim) and nephews Ryan Richey (Lindsey) and Tyler Richey (Mariah) together with great nieces and nephews Hayden Cox (Taylor), Lindsey Olexo (Luke), Colton Fiffick, and Madisyn Richey; great-great nephew Beau Olexo. He had a special relationship with cousins, Bill and Adella Richey; special friends, Larry Miller and Joanne Burchett and special feline companions, Buffy and Chloe. Ken loved to hunt, fish and hike. He found great joy in being with family and friends. He shared an inseparable bond with his brother Russ, you did not see one without the other. He was like a second father to his nephews Ryan and Tyler, involved in their everyday lives. There was not a person that met Ken that did not feel his kind and loving spirit, always there if you needed help or if you just wanted to party. Ken had the best 4th of July parties. He worked for Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown Corporation and Arbutus Park Manor. He served in the US Army Reserves. He was a member of Emmanuel Church. Friends received 3-6PM Thursday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford Street, where funeral service will be held 10AM Friday. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association.
