Jefferson Sr., Keith Alan, 63, died at home on April 28, 2024, after courageously, fighting a long battle with cancer. He was born on June 11, 1960, to the late John R. Sr. and Louise Jefferson. He is preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Randolph and brother John R Jefferson Jr. (Beaver). He is survived by his caring, loving, and devoted wife of many years, Floretta (King) Jefferson. Keith is also survived by his loving and special uncle Donald Jefferson of Johnstown, Pa. and Betty Veney of Texas. he is also survived by his sisters, Linda Whitfield, Peggy (Rev. Grant) Howard, Judy Haselrig, Donna Jefferson, Juana Jefferson, Melainia Jefferson and brother Daryl Jefferson all of Johnstown. Brother in love William Lowery of Georgia. His sister-in- laws, Joyce Debouse of Johnstown and Linda Thompson of Ohio. Keith leaves behind his children, devoted son, Keith, Alan Jr., daughters Samiyah of Va., Lateia of NC., and sons London and Keshawn of Johnstown. His stepchildren, Craig, Johnstown, Clinton Jr. (CJ) and Larae Mickens,Ohio. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Keith's legacy will continue on through his children and grandchildren. Keith was a 1979 graduate of Johnstown Central H.S. Where he was very athletic and participated in basketball, baseball, and track and field. He received numerous trophies and awards for his athletic achievements. He was given an award for being inducted into the Who's Who Among America H.S. Association. Keith attended Mount Aloysius College after completing high school. Keith did construction work in Virginia for a period of time and returned back to Johnstown, where he worked 32 years at Cambria County, residential services and was forced to retire due to his bout with cancer. Keith loved music (the artist Prince), playing his guitar, cooking, fishing, gardening, doing projects around the house, helping others, and grilling at his famous cookouts. He was an avid, die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Keith will be sadly missed by a host of friends, special cousin, Rick Jefferson, George Matthews, Orlando, Washington, Bruce Smothers, and Kenny Grayson. Keith loved, and strongly believed in our Heavenly Father and truly loved his family. Keith will be greatly missed by his family. The Jefferson family is extremely thankful and grateful for the love, care, and support that Keith received from everyone. Friends will be received on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 5 PM-7 PM at John Henderson Company funeral home, 215 Central Ave., where a funeral service will be held on May 4, Saturday at 11 AM, Rev Clyde Williams Jr.. Interment Grandview cemetery.
